Verdict

Bubbly Bellini won this a year ago from MASTER SPEAKER and will make a bold bid to repeat the process after he just held on from Club Wexford at the opening fixture. The latter is just 1lb better off and has since been beaten at Cork, though probably wasn't suited by the very testing ground. The selection was beaten just over a length in that race last month but had no sort of run and the presence of Ryan Moore in the saddle suggest he's expected to reverse placings so he gets the vote. An Saighdiur was also in the firing-line that day and has since run very well in a Listed contest at Cork. In Salutem was well behind in last year's race but won here a few weeks later while Mr Right has been in excellent form at Dundalk and looks on a lenient enough mark to be taking advantage on Turf before too long.
