Verdict

Dr Funkenstein made a promising start behind Flashy Approach at Gowran and should be capable of picking up a small race, though he does have a bit to find with the frustrating Wexford Opera. A hood is added to the usual cheekpieces on the latter here in an attempt to find a winning combination. Lean And Kean was beaten less than a length on debut at Roscommon but didn't have much to spare over fourth Jayed Jidan and the latter is fancied to turn the tables over this extra furlong. ONE TRUE LOVE is another who has had plenty of chances but she has been knocking on the door and had a legitimate excuse at Ballinrobe on Tuesday. Aidan O'Brien's filly can finally break her duck here. Live Dangerously looks to be improving and is probably best of the rest.
