Verdict

THE VATICAN has a cracking pedigree and the fact that he hasn't raced since finishing third in a decent contest at Leopardstown almost a year ago is no cause for concern. He should go close and has more scope than the frustrating Wannabe Better. Saxo Jack ran better than expected on his debut at Navan but never looked like catching the winner. He should improve, however, while Teocht wasn't suited by dropping back to a mile last time and is better than that. The market will probably be the best guide as to what's expected of newcomers Al Destoor, Convocate and Snow Scene.
