Gerard Butler's AKHMATOVA looked useful in the context of this when scoring at Windsor and is the one to be with here, while Rock The Stars and The Caped Crusader are feared. The last-named put up an excellent reappearance run when just held at Haydock and can presumably come on for that. He acts on fast ground and should be bang there. Rock The Stars is stepped up in trip after winning twice and making the frame over a mile in his last three starts. There is plenty of stamina on the dam's side of his pedigree, so he should be capable of seeing out this trip and is much respected. Footsie should be better for her handicap debut and a 4lb drop in the weights now that the yard has hit form, but Akhmatova is preferred. The Cape Cross filly should relish conditions as she did when scoring at the Berkshire track, while the extra quarter-of-a-mile will be ideal and she is selected. Jonathan Doidge.
