    Verdict

Naadirr was favourite for a similar race over an extra furlong at Thirsk yesterday but has won over this course and distance in the past. So has STRATH BURN (NAP), however, and Bob Cowell's sprinter should take all the beating now. He has run a couple of fair races in Listed company this year and it's worth remembering that he was a close second in last year's Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock – this is probably a stepping stone to another crack at that contest. Aeolus is useful on his day but neither Burnt Sugar nor Out Do have really sparkled this year and Pipers Note is probably out of his depth.
