In depth

Verdict

This is a very poor maiden with the five who have experience showing virtually nothing. For that reason, CLINICAL APPROACH looks well named. Jim Bolger's New Approach colt is making a belated racecourse debut and is a full-brother to a winner over this trip. He won't need to be anything special to make a successful start with Lost History suggested for the forecast as he wasn't beaten far in the claimer won by Indian Tomahawk here last week and the winner goes in the opener.
