Verdict

Northern Surprise has won four times here, the latest from 2lb higher in January. Footsteps At Dawn won over 7f at Wolverhampton last month but didn't run as well back here six days later. Plum Perfect has only had five starts and never run here and though Dayereh ran very well over the track and trip a fortnight ago she's 0-22, half of them here. CRAFTY HUGO was having his 16th career start but only his second here when winning comfortably at the beginning of the month. He's up 6lb but that doesn't look enough to prevent a double. Mulzamm is on a long losing run and looked ready for a break when disappointing a fortnight ago.
