In depth

Verdict

Royal Admiral has been narrowly beaten in his last three starts, the latest on the sand at Laytown. He should go well, despite a big weight, but Lady Godiva has now had 14 starts without winning including at this level and has become expensive to follow. PATRICK JOSEPH NAP) has run easily his best races to date on this track and hasn't been disgraced in handicaps on Turf recently so looks the one to be on. Columbia Kid looks to have gone backward but Lady York was in touch for a long way before fading close home over the course and distance last time, though that was back in February. Noble Kingsway had some decent form here last winter but has been running poorly on Turf.
