In depth

Verdict

BENNYS MIST turns his attention to fences after notching a double over hurdles over 3m here and at Uttoxeter in the spring. Both of those victories came on ground with plenty of give so conditions today shouldn't be a problem and he's the one to beat if his jumping is up to scratch. Doubletoilntrouble had some decent form over hurdles a couple of years ago but couldn't manage a win in six point-to-point races subsequently while the market will be the best guide to the chances of the returning Qualviro and Red Mile. Samanerve has had 12 runs over the larger obstacles in France but is still awaiting a first victory. He should handle the ground, however, and has to be respected.
