Verdict

Mark Johnston runs Sir Frank Morgan, who finished tailed off on his debut at Bath, and Bell'Arte, who ran poorly on fast ground at Haydock after a promising start on soft going at Newcastle. Al Thumama didn't mind the heavy going at Carlisle and should improve while Duke Of Yorkshire handled the testing going at Haydock last time and looks a threat. MISTER MARCASITE made a promising debut on ground with some give at Newcastle but has failed to build on that in two subsequent starts, though both were on much quicker going. He's handed the vote in a tricky little contest.
