Verdict

Volcanic Wind started a strong favourite for his debut at Thirsk but found one too good. He's sure to improve for that but others should also have come on for recent experience, including TROPICS. He finished a respectable runner-up at a huge price on his debut over a mile at this track and is just preferred to Eltifaat. The latter would go close with a repeat of his debut effort back in July while Stormbound can be given a chance on his earlier fifth at this course. Far East looks another likely improver having only been beaten a length at Lingfield on her introduction.
