Verdict

Krackatoa King has run in some high profile staying chases since winning at Uttoxeter in November and can’t be ignored. But better is expected from ROYAL PALLADIUM now that his stable is back in form. He ran well over 3m here in November and this longer trip should be within his range. Spookydooky has slipped down the weights since finishing third over course and distance just over a year ago and Richard Johnson is an interesting jockey booking but Wizards Bridge looks handicapped to the limit of his abilities after back-to-back wins at Chepstow and Fontwell. Yanmare is error-prone but a sound stayer and a previous winner over track and trip so has claims but Knockanrawley has become disappointing. Ballyheigue Bay hasn’t complete a race over fences in almost two years but is rated 5lb lower than over hurdles.
