Conditions probably exaggerated the margin of victory of CHOIX DES ARMES (NAP) at Wincanton but he travelled strongly throughout and may be improving fast enough to defy a 7lb rise in the weights. Take A Break’s Sedgefield conqueror, Eastview Boy, won again at Newcastle on Sunday while conditions won’t bother Rainy Day Dylan, who seems sure to run his race again. The jury is out on Master Work, however, while Drops Of Jupitor looks a little quirky. Tea Time Fred was still in front when falling at the last at Fontwell last month but has gone up 5lb.
Muhtaris (IRE) 20-1 (9-6) Steadied and switched left start, held up and always towards rear, last of 11, 15 1/4l behind Native Fighter (9-0) at Kempton 1m 4f hcp (4) pol in Mar.
Drops Of Jupitor (IRE) 2-1 (11-4) Held up towards rear and keen, effort before 2 out, kept on same pace before last, 4th of 10, 7l behind Love Lane (10-12) at Exeter 2m 1f (4) sft in Feb.
Rainy Day Dylan (IRE) 5-1 (11-11) Led, joined 2 out, soon headed, no impression on winner approaching last, stayed on one pace, 2nd of 7, 7l behind Brynmawr (11-9) at Southwell 2m 4f hcp (4) sft in Mar.
Choix Des Armes (FR) 7-2fav (11-11) Mid-division, headway 4th, challenged going well 2 out, soon led, clear from last, easily, won at Wincanton 1m 7f hcp (4) hvy in Apr beating Kalarika (10-12) by 12l, 10 ran.
