Tony Martin generally targets this race and has won three of the last five. He has entered Green Mile and Dream Champion with preference for the latter, who will love the fast ground and is fit from the Flat. Novel Investment is very consistent but is now 14lb higher than when scoring at Galway last July while Marlay Park is another who has shot up the weights and is unproven on this sort of ground. MOLLY'S BOY ran his best race for a long time behind Russian War when reverting to good ground at Ayr and a repeat of that may be good enough to take this ultra-competitive handicap, though the progressive Datokepe may be improving enough to reach a place at least after an impressive maiden success at Clonmel.
