In depth

Verdict

Prince Erik jumped very well when landing a novice chase at Naas but whether that form will be good enough here is debatable, though he missed Cheltenham and Aintree for this. QUANTITATIVEEASING won a couple of minor races before just failing to cope with Divers in a Listed contest at the Cheltenham Festival. He was conceding 7lb to that rival and though 3lb higher now looks the one to be on as he will relish the stamina test. Organisedconfusion looks to have been prepared specifically for the event. Arthur Moore's charge had a spin over hurdles at Gowran last month after scoring over fences at Clonmel and though untested at anywhere near this trip looks just the type his trainer does so well with. Some Target looked in need of professional handling when only fifth behind Chicago Grey in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham so it's a surprise that Ruby Walsh has elected to ride the long-time absentee Shakervilz though if anyone knows how to get one ready it's Willie Mullins. Ante-post favourite Beautiful Sound is only second reserve but if managing to get a place in the line-up is an obvious threat to all from his lowly perch.
