In depth

Verdict

Ransom Request returns to maiden company after struggling to cope with a mark of 73 in a handicap last time and that, plus her need to prove herself on soft ground, means that we will take her on with ROJO BOY. David Elsworth's colt is another back in this sphere from handicapping and it may prove fruitful. The step up in trip should be a positive, while conditions may well suit and any improvement on his previous maiden form would give him every chance. Song Of The Siren needs to improve for her Goodwood debut and if doing so she should take a hand, while Cornish Quest has a pedigree that suggests some cut will be of benefit and he is not ruled out. Bright Applause and Laffraaj might find these conditions against them and Rojo Boy is suggested.
