This is a low-key start to proceedings and one where we will take a chance on GUGA. On his first start since Geoff Harker claimed him for £6,000 he has a bit to find with some of them at the weights, but he is proven over both this trip and on good or fast ground. His front-running style suits this track, he is not badly drawn, and his first-time visor may help keep his mind on the job until the line, something that he failed to do last time. Dazeen is best off at the weights but he is barely proven over a mile, let alone this far, so we will oppose. Power Of Dreams would be interesting if backed on his first start in this grade and he should have no problems seeing out the 10f, while Chantilly Pearl has enough decent handicapping runs on her CV to suggest that she can get very competitive if Paul Hanagan can get her involved from a wide draw. Dane Cottage already has two selling wins to her name and has her optimum conditions and trip, so she would have to be considered a serious threat to our pick Guga.
