In depth

Verdict

It pays to keep a close eye on Gary Moore's runners at this venue and Cavalry Twill may be able to get the better of Councillor Jack who won very easily on his debut for his current yard. Music Celebre may prove best of the remainder. Councillor Jack showed ability over hurdles in Ireland and duly made the most of the drop to this grade when running out a fifteen length winner of a Stratford seller where he was sporting cheekpieces and a tongue tie for the first time. A reproduction of that effort could make him hard to beat. There must be some mileage in taking him on though and Cavalry Twill hails from a yard that has around a 20 percent strike rate at the track and in this grade. This fair Flat handicapper receives plenty of weight from the Williams runner and has shown ability in three runs behind the likes of Chapoturgeon and Crack Away Jack. This is a significant drop in grade and Cavalry Twill is taken to land the spoils.
