In depth

Verdict

Endiamo can make experience count over Norisan and fellow newcomers Rocker and Sri Pekan Two. Endiamo was the subject of good reports before lining up in hot company at Newbury, and as it turned out, the son of Indian Ridge did well to finish in the ruck behind a whole host of other well-thought of animals. The race was won by Major Cadeaux, whose trainer Richard Hannon now saddles Norisan who himself has been working well on the gallops. Peter Chapple-Hyam has had a good season so far and it would be no surprise if Rocker were to be good enough first time, while the unimaginatively named Sri Pekan Two has the assistance of Jamie Spencer. With so much untapped talent on display, the market will invariably be a useful guide, but we shall pin our hopes on Endiamo.
