Verdict

This maiden handicap can go to Cape Secret, with Rajall and Rehearsed seen as his main dangers. Cape Secret has shown that he is an improved performer for the step up to middle distances in his last two runs and, in a race that will not take too much winning, should go well. Rajall has been running well in handicaps that would have to be rated better than this and, stepping up to today's trip for the first time, he is entitled to plenty of consideration. Brabazon and Ritsi have four-and-a-quarter lengths and five lengths to find with him, respectively, based on 12-furlong Windsor form of earlier in the month. Congestion Charge has shown enough to be given some thought, although he will need to have improved from his latest run, where he did meet some trouble in running. Of the others, Rehearsed seems to have improved for the step up to middle distances on his last two runs, so could go well, and Picacho, who put up his best-yet effort when upped to 12 furlongs last time, should appreciate the extra distance tonight, similar comments applying to Bramcote Lorne, who is closely weighted with Hurry Up Helen based on 11-furlong Thirsk form. For the selection, though, we will stick with Cape Secret.
