Prince Dayjur has enough winning form to be strongly considered, with Bethanys Boy, Golden Spectrum, and Book Matched others to note in this weak affair. Prince Dayjur appreciated a first-time visor when winning a class D handicap for Mark Wallace over six furlongs at Kempton 12 months ago, and was successful over seven furlongs for Dandy Nicholls at Southwell. He has already paid his way for Paul Blockley, scoring in selling company at Wolverhampton in January. He was sent off favourite and was fully entitled to oblige, having earlier contested a class B race at Lingfield, and it is interesting that connections went to 16,500gns to retain him. He failed to get involved next time at Southwell and has been rested since, so hopefully the rest and this drop back into selling company will prove helpful. Bethanys Boy just failed to last home when caught by Time To Relax over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton so should go well despite his weight. Golden Spectrum was successful in this company at Beverley in April and is another that has been set harder tasks of late, while Book Matched appeared to have recaptured his form when making most at Southwell in January but then disappointed on his next two starts. He is another that will benefit from this grade, but Prince Dayjur has better claims.
