In depth

Verdict

JOHN FORBES is nominated to see off Edas and Front Rank. Brian Ellison's charge has proven form with plenty of give in the ground and having confirmed his well being with a fair second in a claimer at York, we are hopeful that he can gain an overdue victory. Edas won a couple of races when trained by John Quinn. He does look a difficult ride at the best of time so it remains to be seen as to whether his rider can win the battle this afternoon. Front Rank is arguably well treated versus his National Hunt form. He ran a solid race behind Baan at Ripon recently and is worthy of plenty of respect. Terenzium catches the eye due to the booking of leading rider, Simon Walker. Royal Flynn has struggled to get his head infront for some time though on some of his earlier form, he cannot be discounted. The remainder appear outclassed even at this basement level. John Forbes has most ticks in the right boxes and we put him forward as the most feasible option under the circumstances.
