In depth

Verdict

IBROX is a narrow preference to Bajan Parkes and Puy d'Arnac. The selection was a decent third in a handicap at Haydock on his most recent start and having shown an aptitude for the deep fibresand at Southwell, we are prepared to chance that he can act on today's surface. Bajan Parkes has struggled to defy the handicapper for some time though should have few problems in relation to trip and ground. Puy d'Arnac would win plenty of beauty contests in terms of looks but the six-year-old has become disappointing and rarely finds as much as promised. They All Laughed and Maslak have both struck recently and are probably better on genuinely good going whilst Shady Gloom has beaten precious little home in recent outings. All of these horses have questions to answer but Ibrox looks to have the right answers on this occasion.
