Most of these old soldiers have perhaps had their day, but Undeterred still boasts a reasonable level of form and should really prove too good for these; the best of the opposition should be Harrisons Flyer, while Make Us Flush could prove to be the pick of the three-year-olds in the line up. Make Us Flush actually finished a length in front of Undeterred when they were second and fourth in a similar race at Carlisle last time, but reopposes here on seven pounds worse terms. In addition, Make Us Flush had the run of the race that day, whereas Undeterred was held up off a slow pace and was given far too much to do in a rare piece of misjudgement by Robert Winston. The horse is probably judged on his close third in a far more competitive race at Pontefract the time before, and a reproduction of that race should prove far too good for these rivals. Harrisons Flyer won a claimer on the sand at Southwell last time and has place claims here, but has six pounds to find on official ratings with Undetterred, who is a confident selection here.
