In a tricky finale, the vote just goes to Kaluana Court, ahead of My Legal Eagle, Greenwich Meantime, Wizard Looking and Danebank. The latter shaped well on his sole start this season, when second to shock winner Blazing Bailey. Although he got the run of the race that day and was still beaten five lengths, there may well be more to come and he cannot be ruled out. Wizard looking steps up to this trip for the first time here, and the way he finished when third at Ripon last time suggests that he may improve for it. Greenwich Meantime has been a consistent performer all season but was a shade disappointing at York last time and may just be in need of a rest now. My Legal Eagle won four times last year, and although he hasn't added to that tally this season, the handicapper has given him a chance by dropping him four pounds for what wasn't a particularly bad run last time, so it would be no surprise to see him involved in the finish. However, for the selection we'll just give another chance to Kaluana Court. She was disappointing at Goodwood last time but had put up a string of good runs before that, and her last run and back over her optimum trip and her favoured ground we'll take a chance that Kaluana Court can get her head in front.
