    Verdict

Mull of Dubai has been in fine form of late but a 5lb rise for his latest effort when chasing home Group Captain at Ascot last time looks harsh and a better bet looks to be Tears of A Clown, with Futun rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is less exposed than most of these after just five starts, was good value for his win at Ascot last time and should do even better on a faster surface today. Dansili Dancer has shown signs of a return to form of late but could probably do with some help from the handicapper, while Lundy's Lane is on a long losing sequence and may again have to settle for a minor role. The Venetia Williams-trained Misty Dancer is a useful dual purpose performer and has to be respected, although a bigger threat may come from Luca Cumani's lightly raced Futun. Tears of A Clown has plenty going for him though and Jamie Osborne's gelding gets the verdict.
