In depth

Verdict

Brigadore has given little sign of encouragement of late but James Given's gelding has slipped to a fair mark so could be of interest but a better bet may be the in-form Roman Quintet, who gets the verdict over John Keats. The last mentioned may do better now returned to six furlongs on fast ground and makes more appeal than stable companion Lambency, although he did run better last time. Tony Carroll's Nautical looks to be going the right way now and has solid place claims, while Katie Boo has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for improved form recently. It will be interesting to see what Turn Me On achieves dropping back in distance but a better bet looks to be Roman Quintet who has shown a consistent level of form of late and he looks the one to beat.
