      Verdict

      Jamieson Gold, Playtotheaudience and Sir Arthur look the three to concentrate on in this trappy affair and we nominate Jamieson Gold as our idea of the winner. The selection ran green on his debut when he was a good second behind Mutawajid. He looked as though the penny had dropped in the latter stages of that race and with that experience under his belt he should take plenty of beating tonight. Playtotheaudience made a pleasing debut at Carlisle when second behind Desert Realm. He is sure to benefit from that run but he looked far from straightforward that day and he may need a little more racing before he is seen at his best. Sir Arthur is an interesting newcomer from the Mark Johnston yard but his breeding would suggest that he may be better as a 3-year-old and his stable are not renowned for having first time out 2-year-old winners. North Walk is the other with claims but he will have to step-up on his two efforts to date to get competitive and for the winner we will stick with Jamieson Gold.
