      Verdict

Gershwin wasn't disgraced when sixth at Newmarket three weeks ago and the extra furlong should suit. Navajo War Dance hasn't been beaten far on both occasions he's raced over this trip at Newbury and wouldn't mind further rain but Shabbah and High Ranking made only ordinary debuts and may need more time. The market will probably tell us what's expected of the four newcomers but Vizier is by Pivotal so should handle conditions and the Halling filly Kelvin Hall is related to middle-distance winner Sir Jack Layden. BAYDAR is by Rock Of Gibraltar and a half-brother to Aktabantay, who won the Solario Stakes on good to soft last year - Hugo Palmer's colt can get off to a winning start.
