Special Day gets the nomination here ahead of Kyle and Mandurah. Barry Hills continues to frequent the winners enclosure and his filly was still green when finishing a decent third last time out on handicap debut. She should have come on for that run and can win today. Mandurah is equally effective over five and six furlongs and must have place claims once again however he seemed to struggle off this mark last time out. Kyle finally got off the mark in a maiden last time out and with that confidence booster he could be the sort to wrack up a sequence, especially with the stable in form. Sonoverregun beat the latter when last seen and warrants respect on his handicap debut but a mark of 80 looks high enough for now. Sunnyside Tom should come on for his recent run, whilst the same applies to Crow's Nest Lad who showed very little last time out. A tricky contest, but Special Day gets the vote.
