    In depth

    Verdict

The aptly named Firework is the pick over Binnion Bay, Kindallachan and Noble Mount. Firework has caught the eye on each of his last two outings, and considering that he was thought to be in need of the run, the eight-year-old's latest effort here a fortnight ago was most commendable. He came to win his race but just ran out steam when it mattered, and should now be spot on so gets the vote over Binnion Bay. The latter showed improved form to chase home Warden Warren here last time, and on a line through Jennverse, has claims of beating the selection, but it remains to be seen whether that latest run was just a flash in the pan. Kindallachan should be suited by the step up in trip judged on her latest second here, while Noble Mount has been off since dead-heating for second in a Brighton selling handicap in August, so will be better for the run. We shall take Firework to prevail.
