In depth

Verdict

Lysander's Quest has been banging on the door lately and gets the nod to reverse recent form with Ganymede, while Jadeeron is also shortlisted as big threat in his current frame of mind. Jadeeron came good at Southwell last week and is respected on that effort. However, previous his statistics leaves him with a little to find and he may have to settle for a minor role again today. Ganymede proved his ability at this level when finally getting off the mark here a fortnight ago. That was his 33rd visit to a racecourse, so it goes without saying that he had previously been an expensive horse to follow; so this follow up attempt is by no means a formality. Especially as Lysnader's Quest seems to have hit form at the right time for this and, with the weights in his favour, Roger Ingram's charge is fancied to have his day in the winter sun
