Verdict

There are three previous course and distance winners entered in the race, but only Classically makes any appeal given recent form. He won over this trip last time (Watchmaker was fifth) and despite a rise in the weights has strong claims. Montelissima isn't sure to enjoy an extra quarter of a mile having weakened over lesser trips of late, but Baibars is likely to benefit after not seeing out two miles here last time. He likes to front run so may set some of the early pace, but Levitation and JOSR'S MAGIC won't let him have it all his way. Levitation has only run twice this term and has severely disappointed although if getting back to the pick of her ability then she is 3lb better off from this mark than her last win. Josr's Magic gets the vote though as he is in better nick of late and given he won over this sort of trip on the Polytrack at Lingfield two starts ago he can return to winning ways by taking this race.
