In depth

Verdict

Spanish Island looks far too high in the ratings after beating Dirakh Shan here but then subsequently losing by twenty lengths on handicap debut. Barq has every chance against this opposition and first time cheek-pieces accompany a tongue-strap to seek further improvement. Polish World may not benefit from a switch to this track as he likes to be leading the way and this could leave him exposed to a hold-up type in the latter stages. Copperwood has been slowly away recently and Jonnie Skull is hit-and-miss, so we prefer the more consistent HELLBENDER who is suitably ridden by hold-up hotshot Richard Hughes. Kiss A Prince beat our selection two starts ago so looks an obvious danger but Tuxedo and last time out winner Spa's Dancer are also threats.
