Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

The run of Classically in the previous race will guide the way for ATEEB in this contest. An 180,000 guineas purchase as a yearling, the lightly raced four-year old only narrowly lost out when third here last time and with potentially more to come after that seasonal debut he receives the nomination. Josr's Magic beat Aurora Sky two starts ago and he is worth watching in the second race on the card as an indicator for this race. John Akehurst's runner is likely to pose the biggest threat to our selection after finally losing her maiden tag at Lingfield. The hold-up tactics of Richard Hughes could also be beneficial here and she has to be considered. Acknowledgement and Rosenblatt have both been racing over timber of late and this may not suit, but Sandy Shaw is respected with her favourable allowance in the handicap and with a win to her name two starts ago.
