In depth

Verdict

Alexander Guru has been in good form and is selected ahead of Great View and Mixing in a tough handicap. Mixing has been performing with credit of late and, having developed a liking for this course, he cannot be ruled out. Kirsty Miczarek gets on very well with the gelding and the partnership hold a solid chance of at least making the frame. Great View has been a real trooper for his connections and fully deserved his victory at Chepstow earlier in the month. He escapes a penalty for that apprentices¿ race success and, with Ryan Moore now booked for the ride, he also should not be underestimated. However, Alexander Guru has far fewer miles on the clock and, as he held his own against stronger opponents last time, he is fancied to relish this ease in grade tonight.
