Verdict

Enda Bolger has a strong hand here with Federici and Cantlow. The former is on a hat-trick after victories over fences and hurdles and shouldn't be too inconvenienced by a 7lb rise in the weights. The latter doesn't have his stable-companion's scope and his close second at Punchestown was over the banks course. Perfect Promise is a much better horse on good ground as he showed when scoring at Galway in September. He's only 3lb higher and should get into contention. Tulsa Jack is well up to this at his best but has a bit to find with Federici on Downpatrick form but Kylecrue has always done best on ground with plenty of give. FIRST LIEUTENANT takes a huge drop in class after his exploits in top company and would have no problems conceding the weight on his narrow defeat by Don Poli in the Lexus so looks the one to be on.
