      Verdict

Derby entry IMPOSING can be fancied to make a winning debut in this company. Parthenon and Hunterview are others to note for future reference. Parthenon is related to a hatful of classy types and can be placed to good effect from here. The experience will do him the world of good and it will noteworthy to see the route Mark Johnston decides to follow with this son of Dubai Destination. Hunterview also has a likeable pedigree and is bred to be a winner. His trainer, Michael Jarvis, has scored with a quarter of his juveniles this season, so the son of Reset has to be respected. Piazza San Pietro, the only runner with previous experience, is another worth a mention, as he showed improvement last time out. And he may progress even further now he steps up in trip. The Clive Cox-trained youngster should not be underestimated. However, Imposing ticks the all the right boxes and is very difficult to ignore. The son of Danehill Dancer represents mighty connections and, as market leaders have won six of the last 10 renewals, strong support for the Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt would be a most persuasive factor here.
