Not a particularly strong maiden to open up proceedings and now that she has the benefit of a run, Nowaira looks good enough to take this, with Black Dahlia, Burn The Breeze and Hasty Lady others short listed. Nowaira ran behind Black Dahlia on her racecourse debut, when the pair were well held by Ridge Dance in a similar contest at Sandown a couple of weeks ago. However, Mark Johnston's filly was getting the hang of things nicely towards the business end of that contest and on ground that suits she can make an immediate improvement to reverse that form and score. Black Dahlia has performed with credit on both starts thus far and can't be discounted as another potential improver, but perhaps does not have the scope of the selection. Henry Cecil saddles Burn The Breeze at a track where he does well. The filly went well on her Newmarket debut until failing to see out her effort, but she is another who will benefit from that and can again go well. Of the remainder Hasty Lady has plenty of experience in the context of this race and is coming along slowly. The step up to 7f looks ideal and she can get heavily involved, but preference is for Nowaira.
