      Verdict

      All are in decent or hot form with the exception of Corncockle, yet to reproduce his best since joining his new yard and Emjayem, almost certainly in need of his reappearance run behind Ladweb on his only start this term. The latter meanwhile has been in rattling form during the spring and was better than ever when completing the three-timer at Bath. He cannot be ruled out in his current vein of form but obviously will find things harder off his new mark. Taurus Twins also landed a hat-trick before finding the higher level of company too much at York last time and will appreciate the return to this grade. Algar Lad looks ready to strike soon but, in a trappy sprint, we'll take a chance on O'GORMAN. He doesn't win too often but showed his turn was near with a highly commendable effort at Windsor on Monday evening in a useful contest.

      Algar Lad 11-2 (10-0) Mid-division, headway over 2f out, switched right over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, headed towards finish, 2nd of 12, nk behind Bunce (9-4) at Musselburgh 5f hcp 0-75 (5) gs.

      Corncockle 25-1 (8-11) Chased leaders, pushed along halfway, ridden over 1f out, weakened final furlong, 9th of 11, 5l behind Another Wise Kid (9-11) at Redcar 5f hcp 0-90 (3) gf in May.

      O'Gorman 7-2 (9-2) Held up in last trio, good headway centre over 1f out, every chance well inside final furlong, not quicken close home, 3rd of 12, 3/4l behind Amadeus Wolfe Tone (9-4) at Windsor 6f hcp 0-85 (4) gd.

      Emjayem 7-1 (9-5) Awkwardly away in rear, kept on final furlong, nearest finish, 5th of 8, 7l behind Ladweb (9-0) at Nottingham 5f hcp 0-75 (5) gf in May.
