In depth

Verdict

A large field go to post for this maiden but sixteen could be wittled down to a smaller number when looking for genuine contenders. Sir Michael Stoute and Henry Cecil are double handed with Tartan Bearer looking the pick from the Stoute yard while Henry Cecil is not renowned for producing them first time out. John Gosdens' World Time is very interesting. He was noted making eye-catching progress in a Nottingham maiden two weeks ago, an outing where the emphasis appeared to be on providing the colt with an educational experience. That debut showed leave him primed for this and he gets a confident vote.
