Californiadreaming ran in the Irish 1000 Guineas but was a big disappointment at Naas a week later and will need to do much better, even in this moderate company. Out Of Context made a very encouraging debut at Limerick last April but something went amiss on her next start the following month and she hasn't raced subsequently. Lorendano had looked a fair prospect in two starts last term and probably needed her run at Navan last month. Her stable is in much better form and she can reach the frame. SMOKEY QUARTZ made a belated debut at Naas last month where her stable companion Heartfelt started favourite. She never got close enough to make a challenge but was noted making good late headway without being punished and that kindness can pay off here.
