Verdict

CAPITAL FORCE, beaten a head by Runfordave over this trip at Fairyhouse, attempted to match strides with Bacardys over the minimum here and had nothing left when brushed aside by the winner. He can gain compensation though The Comediologist is obviously well regarded as he's started a short-priced favourite in both bumper starts and is much more likely to do better over hurdles. Harold Peto won over a mile as a two-year-old and though struggling to find his form over hurdles ran well for a long way over 2m4f here last month. Justmemyselfandi did quite well in bumpers and made an encouraging start over timber behind the odds-on Kemboy at Limerick so it will be a surprise if he's not thereabouts at the finish. Geneva Barracks looks best of the remainder.
