Derrinross won a point in February and didn't run again until New Year's Day where he just failed to peg back Next Destination. BAKMAJ (NAP) attracted some support on his debut and though finding the long odds-on Carter McKay too strong he had the remainder, including Simone, well beaten and will be unfortunate to come up against one as good here. Blairs Cove will need to find more and Imperial Way reverts to a bumper after a fair run over hurdles on this track. There are a couple of well-bred newcomers to note and Kivalina, who is out of a winning bumper from the family of Best Mate, is one to keep an eye on.
