Verdict

PREMIO LOCO makes plenty of appeal in this heat and Whistledownthewind is a clear pick for the forecast with Capricorn Run perhaps best of the remainder. The assessor gives Premio Loco upwards of 10lbs in hand of his rivals here and with no doubts about form, fitness or the ability of this course and distance winner to handle the track then this would appear to be a wonderful opportunity to land a nice prize. Whistledownthewind is rated next best and ran his best race for some time when a closing second over seven furlongs in a course handicap. The step back up in trip will suit and he could go some way to fulfilling his initial promise but he has too much to find on the book to think that he can turn the favourite over. Capricorn Run has been struggling for form, Swiss Act has an absence to overcome and Red Somerset faces a very stiff task at the weights so it would be no surprise to see the punters steam in to Premio Loco.
