        Verdict

        Blackmalkin is taken to land this handicap at the main expense of Pragmatist and Lord of The Reins. Clive Brittain's filly won her maiden in good style last time at Yarmouth and with further improvement expected she could be well-in today on her handicap debut. Pragmatist is an obvious danger as she has proven handicap form having scored in this grade last time out. She should go well today but we will take her on because even though she has winning form, she has also disappointed a couple of times in her short career. Lord Of The Reins won well over the course and distance last time and this lightly-raced 3-year-old should go well again here despite his 6lbs penalty. Polish World has won over the course and distance and makes limited each-way appeal, but Blackmalkin looked like one to stay on the right side of last time and she can win on her handicap debut.
