Verdict

This maiden can go the way of Hibiki, who can prevail over the likes of Vanquisher and Hareem. The selection finished second behind Sugar Ray at Windsor last time, and as that horse is well-regarded by connections the form does look quite solid. He remains unexposed and should prove tough to beat here today. Vanquisher was a fair fourth behind Cushat Law at Thirsk last time and although he will run his race again here, the simple fact is he lacks the scope for improvement that our selection has. Hareem is a King's Best colt and this newcomer from the Jamie Osbourne yard is certainly worth noting in the market. Mounafes will need to improve to get competitive, but Hibiki sets a decent benchmark here and is taken to score.
