Verdict

Only eight go to post but this looks very open; we'll take Matterofact to follow up last year's victory in this race. Malcolm Saunders' horses are running well at present and this mare comes into this race on the back of a couple of fair runs. She's 4lbs lower than when winning last year due to a fruitless second half to her campaign but she holds an excellent chance of regaining the winning thread this evening. That said, there are dangers everywhere you look with Wibbadune having relegated Black Moma to second on her last two starts whilst the gambled on Limonia won very easily at Southwell. Doric Lady is unexposed and better than she's shown in two starts this year, Lady Bahia is on a winning mark and Overwing a capable sort. Competitive fare but Matterofact has solid claims and gets the vote.
