Dr Synn ran well enough over course and distance last week to suggest that he can win this contest. My Learned Friend and Prince Of Delphi are amongst others to bear in mind. My Learned Friend actually won the race in which the selection finished fifth and should go well again with the apprentice of the moment, David Probert, more than negating a 5lb rise in the weights. Valentino Swing finished second in that race with Torquemada sixth. The going was on the soft side that day so with conditions drying out and with the run entitled to have brought him on, we're hopeful that Dr Synn can reverse the form. Prince Of Delphi is nothing if not consistent but has yet to win a race and is consequently difficult to recommend. The frustrating Resplendent Alpha is not dismissed, Affrettando makes the short-list and Stuart Williams' form is such that Cornerstone is given a second look as well. Plenty in with chances then with the tentative suggestion being Dr Synn.
