        Verdict

        The betting might provide you with some much-needed clues here but, without that, we will select Billy Red ahead of Feelin Foxy and Shepherdess. The form of Billy Red's last two six-furlong runs looks pretty solid in the context of this race and maybe the drop in trip might bring some improvement, so he has to be given serious thought today. Hurricane Spirit showed good speed on his York debut although he has not been seen since. Ellablue showed promise on her Bath debut, as did Fluttering Rose in the same contest, while Feelin Foxy is another to have shown enough to be granted some thought today, and first-time headgear might help things along too. Shepherdess certainly catches the eye on breeding and is related to plenty of winners so she can be considered too. All in all, it's a race that carries plenty of interest, with our selection being Billy Red.
